According to reports from the MTA, a NYC Transit worker was killed when he accidentally fell into the path of an oncoming subway train during the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 24th, 2013. An eyewitness statement from a fellow signal maintainer indicated that the 59-year-old veteran transit worker, Louis Moore, was working on repairing subway signals inside the tunnel near the 46th Street station when he tumbled onto the tracks in front of the approaching train. Safety investigators did discover a loose railing along the walkway where Moore was working, however, the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
